Telstra Clear Pacific
The Counties Manukau Pacific Trust was formed in 2000 after the need for an events facility in Manukau was discovered.
The central purpose and role for Telstra Clear Pacific is defined as "A multi purpose events centre, for all the people of Manukau - promoting art, culture, business and leisure, to celebrate our excellence and diversity" and has been designed with a common theme of "The Coming Together as One".
Telstra Clear Pacific has precast concrete panels cladding the outside of the structure, with a rebated motif to compliment the central message of the theme and add to the design.

These panels were designed with rebated edges to fit into the rest of the structure, however it created a problem of how to lift the panels. The motif on the panels meant that they could not be lifted from the face, and the rebate edge meant that standard edgelifters could not be used.
For this the Reids engineering team had the RB20LLT edgelifting system, that used hardened Reidbar fittings to lift the panel while causing no damage to either the edge or the face.
